keep in mind that getting type certificate is a long process, but once you get it, minor updates can be made without going through the long process again. So in the case of EH216-S, they may be able to upgrade battery density without having to go through the testing again
overall, CAAC will have to work with FAA and EASA to figure out a eVTOL testing process that matches across the board. it would be crazy to have to go through whole testing again with FAA
