"China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Ltd signed an agreement with COMAC for 60 ARJ21 on Fri, half of the order is for intention. The leasing company said the ARJ21 will be for ASEAN market."
Interesting. Has China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings already identified some prospective markets or even clients in AESAN countries? Do ASEAN countries recognize CAAC aircraft certification?

There is a choice like Russian Irkut MC-21 with PD-14 engines. Nowadays Russians and Chinese are like blood brothers. When U.S. sanction and stop selling 12 types of military grade semiconductors to Russia, China step in and offer to replace them with equivalent substitutes.
Indonesia’s small carrier TransNusa will receive 30 aircraft by 2026 through an agreement with China Aircraft Leasing!

I believe C919 also has good prospect in ASEAN countries, as well as other developing countries. The vendor financing, leasing and service network will be the keys.

I am not enthusiastic with this sale in fact I am worried It will tarnish the reputation of Comac. Indonesia is notorious for plane accident due to poor maintenance., sloppy supervision, inadequate training and skill personnel etc. It is disaster waiting to happened. They had previous accident with MA 60
- On 7 May 2011 (with Indonesian registration PK-MZK) went into sea only 500 metres from the runway in bad weather with poor visibility on visual approach to , Kaimana, in Indonesia. It had left with 19 passengers and 6 crew members on board. All passengers and crew were killed, making this the first reported fatal accident for the Xian MA60. On 24 August 2011 Indonesia's Transportation Minister determined human error was to blame for the disaster.
