Hey guys, does the HJ-12 have two firing modes? So is it 2km of range for top attack and 4km of range for direct TV guidance?

Wiki cites a 2014 article that cites an article from Janes that is not available online. But

Chinese article citing Russian source which in turn cites Jane's who cites Norinco brochure, claims there are two separate missiles or at least two separate seekers that need to be changed. The seeker on HJ-12 uses IIR and another missile under development uses TV guidance with a longer range. Also, the article gives a range of 4km during daytime and 2k at night.

Maybe someone has more up to date info.

I guess what I'm trying to find out is if the FNF 2km or 4km? Is the 4km only achieved with TV?

Why did you make a second account?
You realize that duplicate accounts are against the rules, I hope?

This is technically grounds for a permanent ban on both of your accounts, but I assume there is a reasonable explanation for it given how similar both of the account names are.

I honestly did by accident....I logged in through my computer (I usually use phone) and I guessed the login. But it was a new account that had been created when I logged in so I have no idea how that happened...

I must have a second account but I'm not sure how. And technically the account was created right when I logged in. I'm as confused as you are.

In that case I'm going to ban the 123 account. Your main account can remain.


Also, you've made it clear over the last month or so that you're developing a PLA faction for a game, but asking questions about weapons systems in every thread gets very tiring. Please do some of your own legwork and research.
The forum is not Yahoo answers or Quora.

Thanks. Information is very conflicting and I feel like the people here are very knowledgeable which is why I ask.
