It is a man-in-the-loop system. How can it do co-operative engagement? I think the only way for FO to come in is to spot the targets and call the coordinates, and hope that the missile operators will hit the correct target (which is made easier with ImIR seeker).

In the same way how FO call in laser guided artillery by painting the target with laser designation.
And personally I think this will be the main engagement mode for the ATF-10, because unless it is a rather flat environment devoid of any tall raised buildings even the extended optics will not enable the missile to be used at its maximum range of 10kms. At ground level the distance to the horizon is 4.7km away with no refraction calculated, the extended optics look it it is at least 2 stories tall so at best it could see at least 9.0 kms into the horizon (rough estimate), and that is if there is not any hills or undulations on the surface to obstruct it's view. Even though it can be wired guided, I highly doubt that packing 10km's length of fiber optics per missile into every battle will be a feasible option.

An ultimately obsolete ATGM, adopted because the PLA was too cheap to buy the HJ-12 and similiar Top-Attack ATGMs.

It's not that China will face advanced tanks now, but once the ROCA gets M1A2s, including IR-jammers, those HJ-11 SACLOS ATGMs will not be any better than last generation's Russian ATGMs.

‘Obselete’ ATGMs have killed Abrahams and Leos in Syria.

Top attack is good against some targets, but good old direct attack is still superior for many targets.

Top attack is ineffective or even outright useless against bunkers or holed up MG nests in rubble/buildings for example.

With active defence coming online, the numbers game also comes back into play. If you can buy 2 or more HJ11s for the price of a HJ12, you will have much greater success rate against a target with APS by firing 2-3 times as many HJ11s at it than HJ12s for the same cost.

Sometimes good enough is good enough. Not everyone has to be gold plated second to none.
