Turns out hit or miss doesn't really matters for 96. This year they change the rules that when you hit the target you get a time reduction bonus when you miss your time will not change. Guess what, 103 get no time reduction despite they hit 4 out of 5 targets, and they still beat russian T-72B3M by one minute even if russians enjoyed their time bonus.

ps: Yes, they brought out T-72B3M again this year.

The redesign engine air intake which enable it to virtually dive into the pool of water without slowing down and the uprated engine has given it much better power to weight ratio, awesome!

I think his point is that Moscow rigs the game in favor of himself. No matter what, Russians will win the game.

How did the Russians rig the games in their own favor? The rules were published upfront, and just like the PRC, other nations could bring their own souped up machines, if they don't like what Russia offered for free use.

Even though the rules are technically published before the games, sometimes the organizers change the rules mid-games or change the way points are scored to give the home team an advantage.

I remember in last years competition, during one of the events, the Chinese team had technically already won, but the event organizers changed the way points were scored and resulted in the Chinese team getting 2nd place.

However it doesn't appear to be nearly as bad this year.
