No new engines! The Tank Brigate from the First Group Army of PLA is using same tanks with same 800 horse power engines. They took all extra parts and armours out.
What is the boxy structure surrounding the exhaust? I don't recall seeing that on any other pictures of the Type 96/96A before.

Guys at the other forum were joking about the Chinese team finished third place in the competition last year with the Type-96A and got nothing, but the Armenian finished 2nd place and was awarded a brand new T-90 from Russia.
If the Chinese team held on to the second place in this year's competition, will Russia award a brand new T-90 or Armata to the Chinese too? Or maybe just a toy model of the T-90 or T-14 Armata....
