The army, navy, air force and space part of the site was closed. But other areas no. This part of the forum, the "Beyond Visual Range" area was probably the most popular part of the military section after the four closed areas and is a bit like our Members' Club Room and features a lot of threads regarding current news much like our Breaking & World News! thread. People still hang out there but the admins are very strict now and no discussion of domestic military matters are allowed. People still discuss foreign military matters there, eg:

The days of the engine trolls are numbered.
Nah they can still troll over the WS-15 and CJ-1000X. And if China doesn’t get to a 6th gen engine fast enough it will continue when the US comes out with one first.
wonder if the WS-20 nacelle has thrust reversers. it would be important for short field performance and ground maneuverability.
