IMO simply from the external outline it is not possible to distinguish a D-30 from a WS-18 !

Anyway ... also the standard Y-9-transports seems to be operational in larger numbers than expected ... here are 14 in a row !

Inlast GE view recent march : 9 Y-9 normaly and 10 Y-7 more some out maintenance, training... a Rgt about 15 i think.

It is confusing having 2 Turbo fan program running in parallel. But if one assume having WS18 as backup because it is the more mature and low hanging fruit.

While the WS 20 is the intended engine and it will take more time to mature. It all make sense.

They better cracking up on the engine because they don't have many spare engine left
