What's it saying, for those of us who don't understand Chinese? I see some sort of stealth transport aircraft maybe?
Low observability wasn't specifically mentioned, primarily considering the impact of the transport aircraft's structure on "transportation."

A large number of engineers graduate in China every year, and many of their dissertations are essentially preliminary explorations of certain research areas.

However, it's possible that:
A) their professors suggest certain research questions for these students to consider. These professors "happen" to be involved in certain Chinese military projects.
B) the researchers continue their doctoral studies or join military institutions after graduation, continuing their "preliminary" research from previous years and transforming it into a real project.

So don't think too much about it, it's just a possibility. Unless one day we see her flying in the sky

There will be only a handful of airports where aircraft of this scale can take off and land, and there will be insufficient cost performance and flexibility, just like the dilemma of C-5 compared with C-17.

The designer's initial reference was the C5, as it was a design for a "large strategic transport aircraft."

6,500km range and a 2,600m runway.

The designer considered this, or his professor wouldn't have let him graduate.

Whether the Chinese military will consider this type of super-large transport aircraft is another matter.
