Hi Deino, How about this photo released by Goneless? New or old?
THANKS a lot and to admit this one looks new, since both earler aircaraft (20001 & 20003) had a more yellow colour !
But I need to check at home ... so far the image attached is no. 20003 during its maiden flight (26.1.) and on 30.1.2014.

Yes, it looks more green than the other two. If my memory serves me right, no Y-20 20002 picture was saw.
BTW, it was rumored that Y-20 would appear at the Zhuhai air show 2014 although the official announcement yesterday did not mention this.

I believe the reporter had mistaken the Y-12 mentioned in the news conference as Y-20.

The "rumor" is came from a military affair reporter of Huanqui / Global Times. He learned this in the news conference of Zhuhai show.

Is that tail boom retractable? The photos suggest it isn't.

This would be a first time for a plane this early in its development to be at the airshow, it's very new for the PLA to do this.
Of course not, I don't think any MAD booms are retractable
