The latest on China's manned mission to the moon. The mission is planned for 2030. The manned spacecraft and manned lunar lander will be sent separately on two different LM-10 rockets. The manned spacecraft and the lunar lander will rendezvous and dock in lunar orbit. Once docking is complete, taikonauts are to exit from the manned spacecraft and enter the lunar lander. From there, the lander will descend onto the moon.

The lunar lander is designed to land two taikonauts to the lunar surface. It also carries a lunar roving vehicle weighing 200kg, which is capable of carrying two taikonauts at the same time (the last two images below).

By the way, the lunar spacesuit will provide life support for up to eight hours.

我国载人登月方案公布​

中国载人航天工程副总设计师张海联7月12日透露,我国计划在2030年前实现载人登陆月球开展科学探索,其后将探索建造月球科研试验站,开展系统、连续的月球探测和相关技术试验验证。

当日,第九届中国(国际)商业航天高峰论坛在武汉开幕,张海联在《我国载人月球探测发展总体考虑》主旨报告中介绍了中国载人登月的初步方案。

他说,目前我国载人登月的初步方案是:采用两枚运载火箭分别将月面着陆器和载人飞船送至环月轨道;两者在环月轨道交会对接,航天员从飞船进入月面着陆器;月面着陆器与飞船分离,下降着陆于月面预定区域,航天员开展科学考察与样品采集;航天员乘坐着陆器上升至环月轨道,与飞船交会对接,将月球样品等转移至飞船,飞船与着陆器分离,进行月地转移返回地球。

为此,我国科研人员正在研制长征十号运载火箭、新一代载人飞船、月面着陆器、载人月球车等装备。

张海联介绍,长征十号运载火箭为三级半构型,箭体直径5米,地月转移轨道运载能力约为27吨。新一代载人飞船由逃逸塔、返回舱和服务舱组成,采用模块化设计,适应近地、深空等任务需求。月面着陆器由登月舱和推进舱组成,可将2名航天员送达月面。载人月球车重约200公斤,能承载2名航天员。此外,我国正在研制的登月服采用半硬式构型,单次工作时间不小于8小时,具备支持航天员月面出舱活动所需的作业、行走、攀爬、下蹲、驾车、人机协同等工作能力。

目前,中国载人航天工程办公室正在向全社会征集载人月球车研制方案。

An update on the Tianwen-2 astroid sample return mission. The design for the xenon gas cylinders for the spacecraft's Hall thrusters has passed initial full-system assessment. Prototypes will soon follow.

近日,航天科技集团五院510所研制的237升氙气瓶成功通过了爆破试验,标志着产品完成了全流程的鉴定级试验验证,技术状态全面固化,为后续正样产品建立了完整正确的生产基线。

237升氙气瓶产品是小行星探测任务的关键单机之一,为电推进系统提供氙气,实现采样返回探测和主带彗星探测任务。该氙气瓶为超薄壁金属内衬碳纤维缠绕的大椭球比、扁平型复合材料高压气瓶,具有重量指标要求高、椭球比大、构型扁平、载重量大及长寿命等特点。该产品是国内首次研发的大椭球比、扁平型宇航类复合材料气瓶,多项性能指标处于领先水平。(李玉峰)


And speaking of Hall thrusters, Yidong Aerospace recently completed on-orbit verification of a new compact Hall thruster designed for micro satellites. The thrust is from 6.5 to 84mN, and the specific impulse is from 900 to 2050 seconds.
