(星河动力航天) –– the maker of Pallas-1 rocket –– is branching out to other areas. The company is currently developing a supersonic target missile named Jifeng-1 (疾风-1/Gale-1), which can simulate ultra-low-altitude penetration of supersonic cruise missiles. The company has just successfully completed its first verification flight.

Models of the target missiles on display at Galactic Energy booth at Zhuhai Airshow. JF-1 is the previously revealed Jifeng-1 (疾风-1/Gale-1), and JF-2 is a hypersonic target missile that was first successfully flown earlier this month (last image).

国星宇航 ADA Space showcasing their Star compute plan for globe. Will launch 2800 satellites with computation power to form constellation in space

I'm not sure why this needs to be in space.
There are certain sections of computer people that believe energy (solar), cooling (radiative) and expansion scalability provided by space outweigh current launch cost and maintenance/upgrade difficulty. Possibly with high volume launches you could put immense computation power in space for relatively cheap but I'm not sure how they plan to solve the maintenance problem.

Computing is a bit missleading word that is commonly used by media and even by the industry. Todays telecom netowrk is made of radio unit and baseband unit. Baseband unit is essentially distributed computer like the cloud infrastructure on the ground. LEO communication satellites have to do packet swithing on space basedcomputing platforms. Therefor space based "computing" power is a must regardless launch cost or cooling etc. Space cooling is always worse than ground cooling no matter what you do, it is a disadvantage.

Think the compute satellites as edge nodes of a compute cloud. The original news in Chinese says:
可变“天数地算”为“天数天算”,变“地数地算”为“天地同算”,覆盖太空边缘计算和地面人工智能特殊场景的市场需求。

天数地算 means that you need to transfer all the raw data from space to ground to compute, and sometimes you even need to beam the result back for subsequent operations. A lot of bandwidth and latency can be saved with some compute power in space.
