The other thing is that some people think that a system like Starlink is doomed to failure. See this video here:

I will summarize it for you, it basically says that unless you live out in the bush with no other viable means of internet access, then Starlink is not a cost effective solution. For the average person living in a town or city, there will be other faster, cheaper and more reliable alternatives to Starlink. Wouldn't G60 face the same limitations?

Starlink is for Military purposes now, to have redundant internet and satellite connection that has so many satellites that no amount of ground based missiles can destroy them all and thus provide satellite surveilence and connectivity.

In that video I linked, it describes a "Kessler Effect" which says that it only takes one kinetic event in orbit to destroy all objects in the same orbital plane ala the Gravity movie scenario.

Ok, but space is pretty big and the Kessler Syndrome has been vastly exaggerated in movies like Gravity. Which is why it was described as "Kessler Syndrome on steroids that defies physics".

Constellations like the upcoming Starshield are a priori designed with resilience and persistence in mind.

Yes, all such constellations regardless from which country have the same limitations and purposes. They are meant to be compliment to terrestrial network to cover less populated area, sea and deserts. This is well researched by the science and marketting communities.

If the constellation is part of a broader telecom ecosystem, then it won't fail. If it is an isolated existence with limited users such as military, then it will fail just like Iridium.

G60/Qianfan satellite's parabolic antennas (1st image) and its flatpack chassis (2nd image). Each satellite has an expected service life of seven years.

That's why Starlink is also being punted to civilians. As a dual-use system, the (much larger) civilian market -- even in a small market like satellite internet -- effectively subsidizes the military expenses

An interesting presentation slide from Li Yihuan, deputy general manager of China Telecom Satellite Communications. It lays out the economic considerations for LEO internet mega-constellations:
– Some 80% of the world's land area and 95% of oceans have no internet coverage. Even within China, which boasts the world's most extensive communication networks, at least 50% of the land area is without coverage. LEO internet mega-constellations will expand internet coverage globally and open previously untapped economic opportunities/potentials.
– Within China, many base stations are located in remote areas with very few users, and their maintenance is very expensive. The LEO constellations can replace these base stations.
– Mega-constellations provide a true nationwide emergency communications network and is a valuable backup to existing terrestrial networks.
– Mega-constellations significantly lower costs of upgrading, building out, and maintaining (terrestrial) networks, especially in areas/cases that are cost-prohibitive to do so.
