With cooperation from the manned spaceflight engineering project, the large-scale structure of the universe and the sky survey research group of the National Astronomical Observatory successfully developed the 9k×9k full-frame transfer CCD astronomical camera, together with the CSST scientific data processing system, carried out trial observations on the 80cm telescope at the Xinglong Observation Base from February 12 to 17, 2023. This is the first domestic astronomical observation based on a 9k×9k full-frame transfer CCD.
Through this observation, the team obtained g-band images of several standard stars, star clusters and galaxies, as well as the corresponding background, dark field and sky flat field. Figure 1 shows the image of NGC3631 observed by imported CCD. Limited by the field of view of the telescope and the size of the filter, only the central area of the target surface is actually used. Figure 2 shows the g-band image of the M38 open star cluster, which was taken by a domestic CCD.
This observation verified the performance of the domestic multi-channel, large-target CCD camera and also provided actual measurement data for the CSST scientific data processing system, which will provide a basis for the improvement of subsequent cameras and domestic CCDs...
