I like your bet. :D I am sure two of our resident "perseverant truth believers of "truth" will bet against you. But I bet on you. Cheers.

On this NASA project, I must say "英雄所见略同" "heros think the same way". I am interested in following how it goes, and will offer my sincere congratulations if NASA make it first, but my money is on China.

Another interesting detail about the LM-7 launch. I will not say it directly but leave it to your own digging to avoid some twist minded to shift the matter to serve their other purpose and stick on my face.

The landing site of the dispensed fuel tanks. :)

"Landing site" only means that the fuel tanks splashed down somewhere and is in no way implicit of a soft landing (à la Falcon 9 reusable variant or even a parachuted landing).

hehe, you did not get the point. It is not about soft or hard landing, actually I believe it is a hard one. The point is where. One more hint, very south east of Hainan.;)

"The re-entry module of the Shenzhou 10 spacecraft did not return by swirling. It was controlled by lift force and was controllable. There was a control system of the re-entry module to ensure that it targeted at a certain object, which means that it flew towards the aiming point in accordance with the theory of returning back. It controlled the direction. However, this time it is uncontrollable. When it enters the atmospheric layer, it is uncontrollable and it relies on aerodynamic force to fly downward," said Liu Chengjun, assistant to the chief engineer of the Long March-7 rocket.
It sounds like a ballistic reentry. One can have a wild imagination if one add in the "blackout communication" part. Some people kept on saying something is not proven, I think this launch is the last proof they can get and the best they would wish for.

A presentation of Beidou (Compass 2 Navigation System) for general public, by Xu Ying (33), the youngest Doctoral Advisor of China Science Acdemy.

It is long and I don't have time to translate. It tells
  1. The frequency assignment struggle in 2007
  2. The decoding fiasco by some woman Gao Xiuxin who received award from RTCA? in 2011.
  3. Xu Ying's confidence in the security of the coding scheme and dismissal of the importance of the above.
