Sounds like wild guessing to me, and very wild at that. I am asking what are these three launches?
I mean the only reason they thought of three launches for apollo was adding a pressurized rover lab.

Here are more slides to explain the three launches: first is the descend section of landing module, second is the launch section of landing module, and the last is the return module (manned). All three will dock in the moon orbit.

Okay now I understand the mode and it is not lunar orbit rendezvous like Apollo or the failed Russian program.
It's more of a hybrid of earth orbit rendezvous and lunar orbit rendezvous. Dual orbit Rendezvous.
Three rockets would be launched as part of a single mission (involving lunar orbit rendezvous and docking), and would deliver a 2-3 crew. And it suggests such a mission could be achievable within ten years time.

Can I say, I love the way those graphics look like they were made with Kerbal Space Program. It amuses me to no end.

I think the Chinese space programme just spends less on CGI for display than other agencies in general.
