Just wondering how can these people approach the construction site in this way. Its like there is no security in there...

This new launch site is suppose to be more open to public and serving mainly civilian launch project. So I suppose it not to be that uptight. A China space theme park is also in plan with this new launch site and a space museum too.

They are probably got special permission to access to the construction site. Nothing new it's common in large construction site everywhere as long as the head project manager is there.

That's great but those visitors needs to wear a hard hat and some sturdy shoes to walk around in a construction site like that.

just see this

Unconfirmed rumours indicated Shenlong trans-atmospheric vehicle suborbital flight (in 2011??) was not fully successful as the spaceplane had crash-landed somewhere outside China.

What's the source of this information? Not fully successful and crash landed outside China I would categorize as failure. It sounds like spin but since the Chinese government hasn't advertised any test, it has to be coming from an outsider. Plus I would doubt any test would put it in a position to crash outside of China.

Looking at the first chart, and comparing the length of the main body with the length of the boosters, the image of CZ-5 (not the CZ-5B) corresponds to the CZ-5E of the second chart,, which is about 61/62 meters long. This means that indeed CZ-11 is near 20 meters long. It also means that the wikipedia data is right, which states that this version of CZ-5 has 14t of GTO capacity and 25t LEO capacity (CZ-5E´s LEO version, the CZ-5B)
