So, the picture I sent describes the hydrolox third stage yes, but my interpretation is that would be for a LTO 27t mission profile.

For a LEO 70t mission, I suspect they would omit the third stage.
No, the third stage is essential if you want to get 70t to LEO. Otherwise, you wouldn't reach the delta V for orbit.

But why will it not have the delta V for orbit?
Falcon Heavy, with lower total thrust in its first and second stages and lower specific impulse, than the equivalent stages of CZ-5DY, is capable of launching 63.8t to LEO.

For the three core CZ-5DY, with its central core first stage having larger fuel tanks (and presumably longer burn time) than the single core version, and the second stage having two YF-100s rather than one, that all seems like a very plausible configuration for a 70t to LEO configuration.


A three stage to LEO rocket would be quite the exception around the world, would it not?

For LEO 70t, more likely, the second core stage will have to be extended with larger propellant tanks with the same engines or higher thrust engines.
