General
China has just released a new white paper on its space program. It summaries the past achievements and announces future endeavors. In the next five years, new rockets and satellites will be introduced and launched. China will continue lunar explorations, focusing on the lunar polar region. It will launch the Chang'e-6 and -7 probes, performing landing and sampling-return in the lunar polar region. China will also continue preparations for the Chang'e-8 mission and jointly carry out the construction of a lunar research station with international partners and organizations. China will continue to implement planetary exploration projects, launch asteroid probes, complete asteroid sample-return, and prepare for a Mars sampling-return mission. Remote surveys of Jupiter, the astroid belt, and further probes into outer reaches of the solar system will also be carried out. Also of note, an astroid monitoring and warning system will be implemented. There is a boatload of other projects listed and a lot to unpack.
