I learn something every day it seems.

I do wonder how rational and informed Filipino political leadership is,
They're well inform just as @BlackWindMnt said from his previous post, it's all about money, unless China is willing to accommodate the oligarch elites you wouldn't see any changes happening.

Just look at our history, the revolutionaries such as Andres Bonifacio were killed by his fellow Filipino, the sad part is that the oligarchy elite had taken control of the revolution late in the game as they are a major source for funding. In return they task Aguinaldo to have him assassinated for his extreme view. The same thing happen to Aguinaldo during the Philippine American War were the oligarch switch allegiance to America in return for more wealth and maintaining their Status Quo.

That's what I have been seeing, suggesting that the conflict in East Asia will not be started due to the separatists in Taiwan but by the idiots in ASEAN country and that's the Philippines due to their unhinged like behavior against China with respect to their dispute in the SCS.

The Filipinos are really blind and in all honesty beyond oblivious with respect to their non-existent capabilities and disparity of strength when it comes to China. The level of ignorance either by intention and by omission are what's animating their delusions as well as their firm belief that America will come and save their bacon just as their beloved Gen.MacArthur had done against the Imperial Japan in WWII. Most Filipinos don't even know or appreciate the history that Manila was the most bombed city after Tokyo during that war (The destruction of Manila was one of the greatest tragedies of World War II. Of Allied capitals in those war years, only Warsaw suffered more. Seventy percent of the utilities, 75 percent of the factories, 80 percent of the southern residential district, and 100 percent of the business district was razed). The damage was so extensive and severe that America gave them independence when the country's capital was pretty much destroyed lol..
It is also way more realistic for America to pursue a limited war instead of all out invading another nuclear armed superpower.

China would fight to the end over the home territories, it may not necessarily fight to the end over something in the SCS.

This is actually a much needed news to PUBLICIZE WITH MAXIMUM EXPOSURE to expose the DUPLICITOUS nature of the Philippines desire and use as nothing more than American ancillary tool to be used against the demonization of China and further militarization in the SCS.

I mean, let's be brutally frank here, NOT A LOT OF PINOYS understand the complexity of the SCS disputes nor are they slightly informed that there are other claimant countries in the islands within their West Philippines Sea. Now that Vietnam is once again trying to build up and fortifying the islands that "so-called patriotic pinoys claim as theirs" I wonder what sort of brave actions and complaints from their Americanized media will be spewing. We all know these fake Patricia's will hardly make a peep about this except for newspapers like the Manila Times which is in the very tiny minority of readership let alone influence in that country.

And here comes a last ditch effort by one of the few but effective leader(s) the PH actually have that still has a functional working brain, Pres. Rodrigo Duterte doing his effort as a private citizen to make some sort of peace offerings to China's leaders. Which the meeting itself is remarkable that he, Duterte a person that's no longer in government managed to have a face to face meeting with the leaders of China including Pres.Xi Jinping is very telling.

Bro do you believed this survey? ;) it was done in English commission by Senate President Migs Zubiri....lol IF you see the questionnaire it was maliciously done to reflect the American view and the sample data are mostly college student. The timing is very suspicious right after the meeting between Xi and Duterte.
