Well the limit is Philippine airspace, not KJ500s endurance.

isn't national airspace 12 NM Amerian spy plane routinely fly within 12 nm of China SCS islet.
If that is the case then KJ500 can peer 500 mile deep into phillipine sea from outside 12NM of Palawan
Or even inside Sulu sea! providing it has enough fuel

The KJ500 has a range of 5700km (according to wikipedia) so it definitely could fly to the Sulu sea. The drawback would be less protection though
The Philippines is key!! Having access to bases to stage attack on SCS is key for America.

Yes we may be a poor third world nation, but we occupied the most strategic real estate in this part of Asia, a real valuable asset. I hope our future leader know how to leverage this advantage and extract more for our own national interest.
This coming 2022 presidential election, you will see the American interference and will have a hand in choosing our next president, such is a life of being a former colony now a vassal state.
The Philippines have the most strategic base. It’s outside the range of Chinese missiles, and yet close enough for America to refuel, re-gear and stage further attacks.
Lets just hope the next Philippine administration is not stupid enough to put an American base in PH. Otherwise the most likely scenario, the Scarborough shoal, will be turned into another manmade island and put all sorts of missiles there. This is the most startegic island directly opposite to major bases in PH. China has nothing to lose now that Trump sanctioned those island building construction companies.
Every strategic American action, expect there is always a Chinese reaction.

IF China turn Scarborough shoal into an artificial island then its game over for China, it will be a strategic blunder and right into a strategic trap the US has plan. All ASEAN will follow the US and see China as an enemy. Our constitution clearly stated that there will be no foreign bases allowed, That itself is clear indication. As one of our member once stated quit while your still ahead.
Regarding the election, The American is already laying a foundation to pick and choose the current crop of politician, they will not allow another Duterte type of politician to emerge, if there is one ,they will co opt and influence them early and destroy them if they cant control them. Right now their propaganda machine is in full throttle, they have 2 years to make it happen. unfortunately for them the opposition is in tatters and their leader are weak, they dont have any issue that will stick. The latest one regarding the Manila Bay white sand controversy is so pathetic, that it blew right to their face, cleaning and preserving the beauty of Manila Bay is a year long yearning of all resident of Manila, it had popular support and only Duterte is courageous enough to tackle an insurmountable problem, past president simply ignore it, even after being order by our supreme court.
Philippines is outside the range of which Chinese missiles? Short range anti-ship missiles? What are you talking about?
