Chinese EW?They went down without fighting. Kinda wasted.
2 mishaps within 30 minutes doesnt seem like coincidence

It’s precisely because of the unique conditions in the South China Sea that the airfields on several reefs still can’t host long-term deployments of newer aircraft with complex electronic systems, such as the J-16 or J-15T. These aircraft suffer from faster wear and tear there (to put it diplomatically), so extended deployments would shorten their service lives.
That’s why the frontline fighters you see — like those photographed near the Philippines — are still the older Su-30s and J-11As. Both the Air Force and Navy are rather dissatisfied with this, since one of the main purposes of building those reef airfields was to forward-deploy China’s advanced tactical aviation units. But in the end, it’s still the old Flankers holding the line, which makes the whole “Soviet-style frontline” situation feel somewhat ironic.
In short, the issue of long-term J-16 deployments in the South China Sea is still being worked on.
So bluntly speaking, the newer planes are not reliable enough and hence cannot be deployed in rough environment.
BEIJING, Oct 27 (Reuters) - China's foreign ministry said it would be willing to provide humanitarian assistance to the United States after two U.S. Navy aircraft crashed into the South China Sea, spokesperson Guo Jiakun told a press conference on Monday.
Not because the newer fighters are unreliable, just because the J-11A and Su-30MKK are old enough that they are not far from retirement anyway, so it is not a big deal if they are rusted. So bluntly speaking, the newer planes are not reliable enough and hence cannot be deployed in rough environment.
I guess that's understandable for J-16/J-20 and other airforce planes but he claims J-15T cannot be deployed as well despite being designed for carrier ops with similar conditions which is very odd.
...Brawner: U.S. Typhon missile in Philippines can reach China
....DAVAO City 1st District Rep. Paolo Duterte has called out Armed Forces of the Philippines chief of staff Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr. for saying that Typhon missiles deployed by the United States in the Philippines could reach China.
“So is this now our idea of defense? Showing off for America even if it’s clear that Filipinos will be the first to burn from another nation’s retaliation?” Duterte said in a statement on Saturday.
(What does "deployed for training and capability purposes as part of AFP’s modernization efforts" mean?)In a statement, the AFP clarified that AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr. only stated a “technical fact” pertaining to the missile’s range and that he only explained that the missile was deployed for training and capability purposes as part of AFP’s modernization efforts
Why the floor is so dirty or this is photoshoppedConsidering the state US Navy is in, not that surprising.
