NHA started to rehabilitate and widen the 135 km Chakdara-Kalam Highway (N-95).Chakdara-Kalam Highway starts from Chakdara and passes through Mingora, Khwazakhela, Madyan, Bahrain and ends at Kalam.It will be link with Swat Motorway . The official said that the road was badly damaged in the floods of 2010 and was washed away at many locations.

Agreement signed with China Corporation to build up on 1000 acres of special economic zones....
As a result of the China Road Show (April 2017), the Hikmat Special Economic Zone construction will be initiated of 1000 acres by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government. It is the first memorandum of mutual understanding that has taken place.
In the Chief Minister's KP Secretariat, the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa signed the agreement with the Chief Executive Officer of the PZZDMC, Mr. Adil Saladuddin and CRC General Manager Mr. Li Zhihuai. The event was attended by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Secretary Industries and Chairman PBO IT. KEZDD DMC and China Road and Bridge Corporation, a public republic of the People's Republic of China, aim to build 1000 acres of land in special economic zone in Hatar.
Pharmaceutical, textile, nutrients and beverages, steel and engineering industries will be set up in the Hekmat Special Economic Zone. Due to this initiative of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, after the special economic zone is enabled, 100,000 people of the local population will be indirectly and indirect employment opportunities. In this regard, Pakistan is expected to invest Rs 100 billion by foreign and foreign industries.
