Bloomberg tech writers probably thought that 3nm chips are literally 3nm long.
they literally don't use their brains for 2 seconds.

The supplier for LM rockets and the PLARF is basically the same.

LM rockets are indeed taking off and putting satellites into the correct orbit, which is easily verifiable by even amateur astronomers.

Even with 0 technical background: how do you isolate corruption to only the military side and not the civilian side?

Like is there some director of bribery operations that ensures civilian launches have 100% reliable rocket fuel and leave only the water filled rockets to the military?

Holy cr4p, now pretty much the entire Western PLA-watching community is furiously harping on the "Chinese missiles filled with water" claim. This includes many of the so-called "defense experts/analysts" and even a former Indian Army commander.
Ironically, the story itself is an example of the same "注水" that may have been mistranslated into the basis for its existence.

Real question is does it matter?

Just a few months ago we’ve had supposed experts claiming that China lost a nuclear submarine first in the Taiwan straits, then in the Yellow Sea. Before we have had equally ludicrous claim that modern Chinese destroyers don’t have fire extinguishers or water tight doors. Other supposed experts lapped them up despite the fact that those claims violate common sense.
It's almost a year since a certain frenchman said he will be 'writing a response' to 052D visit. Where is it? lol

At this point China has been receiving the brunt of many claims by certain intelligence agencies, all of which has been proven false. E.g spymaster defecting, hypersonic scientist defecting, submarine sinking, AC broke down in pacific and more which I forgot. Should we really believe yet another claim?

Welcome back!
Thank you! After some time apart from my leash, discussions about .mil topics no longer cause as much frustration and unhappiness as they used to.

I see the think-tankie-led analytical zeitgeist has hardly improved in my absence, so I'd like to start engaging with OS*NTers about this stuff once again.

After all, somebody has to tear these midwits a new one. How could I shirk such a responsibility?
