I don't know, maybe Long Range missile means that it is the first layer of missile defense on the whole layered anti missile system that a country has. So there is no standard range for this SR-MR-LR Missiles as every systems have their own spec. Even if S300 has only 90 km, but as long as it is the longest anti missile range on a layered anti missile system, then it is a long range missile.

China would probably have had to cancel the deal in light of recent developments had the Turks not done it already.

Yeah, I also think that the deal will vanish into thin air as Russia is much more important to China than Turkey.

Turkey foreign policy is a bit of a mess right now, luckily the deal doesn't go thru. The area is pretty hot bed of military activities and regional conflict. China should stay at the sidelines and work with UN to calm the region.
