Lowari Tunnel is an 8.75 kilometres vehicular tunnel under the Lowari Pass of the Hindu Kush mountains, between Dir and Chitral in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.
It is operated by the National Highway Authority and carries traffic on the N-45 National Highway, thus bypassing Lowari Pass. The total cost of the tunnel was ₨26.954 billion..

PM to inaugurate M-9 in April 2018.....
The contract of the motorway was given to Frontier Works Organization (FWO) under Built Operation Transfer model, The 136km-long motorway starts from Sohrab Goth at Lyari Expressway and ends at the T-Junction of Jamshoro Hyderabad, at a cost of Rs 44.2 billion.
