The contract for partnership between Fertilizer Company FFC and Hub Power Company Limited will be set up by 330 megawatts of coal power plant.

The event was signed by the stakeholders' agreements between FFC, Hub Power Power and Chinese government company China Machinery Engineer Corporation.

The power projects which will be made under CP will be made especially for the thermal power line which will extract coal from the third block and it will get 8% of the hub. Lt Gen (R) Ashfaq Ahmed, Chief of FFC Chief Executive and MD, said that the FFCs would be 30% in the project while Chinese machinery engineer Corporation would own 10 percent of the shares.

60% of the remaining shares will be held with Power Limited. CEO Hub Khalid Mansoor said that coal mines in Thar would prove to be a game changer regarding energy in the country. "Due to strong financial sponsors, the project will be completed within the expected expenses and time," said Slamullah Memon, Chief Executive Officer of Thar Energy Limited.

The project is expected to be held in June 2018, while the work on the project has already been started and electricity production on commercial basis will begin by 2020.
