A semi-official about the so-called containment effort, lead by the United States, and Global Times summarily dismisses it.
Global Times did not say it was stupid, they said it won't work.
What they should have said, is this so-called containment effort, only one country is doing all the heavy lifting. There is only so much Australia and India can do, and they only get bashed for their efforts, there is only so much the Japanese are willing to do, and the Europeans will do what they want to do in view of their own self-interests.
That leaves one country doing all the heavy lifting. The United States trade deficit with China at a new all time record.
When the United States gets around to doing the heavy lifting for itself, and not for China, then this so-called containment fight will be kicking up to another gear. Maybe.
Maybe not. LOL.
