A Chinese court on Tuesday sentenced Sun Guoxiang, a former senior legislator of northeast China's Liaoning Province, to life in prison for bribery.
Sun, former deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Liaoning Provincial People's Congress, was convicted of taking bribes worth over 97.65 million yuan (about 13.66 million U.S. dollars) by the Intermediate People's Court of Langfang City in north China's Hebei Province.
He was found guilty of taking advantage of his former positions in Panjin City of Liaoning between 2008 and 2018 to help relevant companies obtain loans and special funds, the court ruling stated.
Sun is deprived of political rights for life, and had all of his personal property confiscated and illegal gains from bribery recovered and turned over to the state treasury, the court said.

In the Center’s opinion polls, which surveyed a random sample of more than 2,500 Chinese mainland adults in November 2022, Russia came out significantly ahead.

Japan ranked just below the U.S. in terms of overall unfavorability, though a slightly higher share of respondents saw Japan as “very unfavorable” compared to America. This is likely due to both modern tensions in the

Chinese sentiment towards India was also unfavorable at just over 50%, though notably the country also received the lowest favorability rating at just 8%.

The US has established itself as a common enemy of Chinese even over the Japanese. Amazing feat, considering the US hasn't even launched an invasion of China killing millions. Whatever positive will the US got from helping China during World War 2 is now totally gone among the new generations due to Trump and Biden's actions.

Well they really didn’t do much to help in the anti Japanese war and I believe there were several incidents of us soldiers raping women in China and getting away with it. Not to mention boxer and opium wars

I saw this list of ROC-US treaties, covering air, land, sea, rail, military, police, trade, currency, etc etc. If true, Chiang basically sold China out in exchange for US supporting him as in title president and in reality US colonial administrator of China. Won't be surprised if these treaties are secretly still in effect for ROC parenthesis Taiwan parenthesis.
