Yes, US used different approach. I don't have the answer to that, but I guessed they used different metal alloy of high heat resistence, The darker color metal fitting at the F-15E's gun muzzle looks different from the aluminum panel.

Even Mig-29 also don't seem to use titanium. I think Sukhoi's design is perculiar to Flankers and its variants.

Sorry for the blurry post. Mig-29 does have Titanium around the gun muzzle, just smaller.

When Sukhoi actually make an EW flanker then we can talk.

It was studied for some time (Fullback EW mod), but was judged too expensive for 2000s Russia.
The task was transferred to normal Su-34s with EW extension kit (Tarantul central pod).

But I don't seem to notice similar panels installed on American fighter jets or am I wrong ??

American fighters have a 20mm cannon while the flankers have 30mm. The muzzle blast is much larger on 30mm.
