Even in the case of hardware they are modularized and could be easily swapped out for upgrades. Lack of modularization is actually a major reason why upgrading Russian flankers is a big headache for the PLA.

How much do they even really upgrade those russian flankers nowadays.

Or in general, expect to even use them in any conflict as well.

Even more interesting for me, finally, it can be revealed!

It was rumoured since some time already, but these images clearly prove, the 6th Air Brigade at Suixi is now also operating J-16s!

At least number 61675 can be seen - with construction number looks like 1006 - and I know 61677 since October.

1,900 modules is quite impressive and I don't know whether there is any other aircraft that have AESA with more than 1,900 modules

Yes. AN/APG-77 contain a total 1956 T/R Modules.

Suixi received J-16. Will replace the Su-30MKK still operating in the base. Looks like they will not be getting J-20 in the foreseeable future. That said, based on PLAAF experience J-10 pilots transition easier to the J-20 than flanker pilots.
