The source you cited says it's the 7th, not the 17th.

Those are Su30KM2s.

I also thought it was strange, some one on Weibo would say it was the 7th J-16 Brigade，but there was no objection on Weibo. Now everyone jokingly calls it the white-headed pomegranate白头石榴(white-nose J-16).

I've wondered about this question for ages but why is the area around the gun port of every Flanker aircraft not painted?

Those are Su30KM2s.

These are "new" J-16s with a lighter coloured (compared to the body) radome. You can tell they are J-16s from the RAM treated canopy interior.

These are J-16's. Su-30's have flat tails, but these are cut tails.
