Even with su34 included china has more in active service. 550 vs 520. Approximately.
Can you do a breakdown?

...
80 or more J-16
.... It's perfectly possible J-16 numbers have shot up at over 100 airframes by now.
Does anyone have clear pictures of China's flanker variant cockpits? I want to know how many are still using the old dials and switches instead of using glass cockpit. Also, for those without a glass cockpit, is there any plan to refit them to a more modern standard?

ha, didn't expect J-11BS cockpit to be so much different to a single seat J-11B, I thought Su-27UB use the same cockpit as regular Su-27 in the front seat...

That is even more than i thought. How come we are suddenly at 140? When you spoke of your take on plaaf orbat you mentioned 2 frontline units operating j16 in full, and two more in conversion. With some (up to a dozen) more in two training/testing units?Indeed ... I would say a rough estimation would be even up to 140!
This is the best I have for both the J-11B and BS
