Are rare view mirrors popular in a fighter jet?
Yes sir, all aircraft that have a possibility of having a "rear view" have a mirror, especially a fighter which should expect the bad guys to show up in that same mirror! so yes, aircraft that would benefit from having a rear view mirror, typically do,, my brothers Cessna has a rear view, and you can actually see quite a bit through it,,,
now many fighter aircraft have solid fuselage behind the cockpit,,, F-35 comes to mind, but the F-35s all aspect camera's allow you a 360 degree view, actually an all aspect view, you can even look through the floor and see an image, to a fighter aircraft, "situational awareness" is your world, and the F-35 will present that whole world to you in a way that you never dreamed possible..
But Flankers, F-15s, Fulcrums will all continue to rely one the good old "rear view mirror"......
