What the Chinese have done with their flankers is some GREAT work.
I believe the J-11B that they build themselves, integrating it into their own weapons and sensors, is better than the SU-27 kits they got from the Russians. It is certainly not as good as the SU-35s, but we are talking SU-27 vs J-11B here.
I believe the J-15, that they built themselves to carry their weapons, use their sensors and propulsion, and fill their role off of their carrier, is a better aircraft than the SU-33.
I'm not so sure that the J-16 is better than the latest Russian SU-30MS aircraft, and I know it will not be better than the SU-34 in the long range strike role. Nonetheless, the J-16 will be a very capable and good strike aircraft and will rank right near the SU-30s the Russians are putting out.
