Cute little airplane the Grippen?? it is the bomb though, no doubt it will turn inside that little Flanker?? LOL no doubt at all, HEH! Heh! and no doubt the Russians sold the Chinese a bunch of GREEN mag wheel paint???

That is "Oliver" Green, though come to think of it??? weren't Belarus tractors that same color of green???
Holy smokey check the size on that Flanker!!

And they use this on a carrier ?? o_O

Read B787s posts by Sergei Bogdan in the PAK-FA thread, saying that flying the SU-27 was like driving a truck??? The Su-35 and T-50 have a much more friendly FCS, aided no doubt by OVT, and he referred to them as a sports car??

You need some muscle to fly those old tough 4 gens and 4+s, Turn Baby! and shes says Whheeennn?? and you say NOW! and finally she comes around? LOL

This sounds as if the communication equipment will be fit to work with Russian as well as Chinese air force systems and that it will provide a basis for tactical cooperation of both air forces.

Do you think that china will rely on russian-made systems for its air force communications??? China doesnt need them. Most probably they will just get a look at them and thats it. It was just part of the selling package that russia set for the purchase of su-35. With only 24 planes, this purchase was mostly for the engines, IMO. Initially, russia wanted 48 planes sold...

Maybe what it means is that both Russian and Chinese airforce can communicate and coordinate together. A kind of data link cooperation in the future? I don't know, maybe.

Why would China use Russian data-link? This does not make any sense. In order to use the Su-35, China has to install Russian ground stations? How about integration with China's AWACS? This whole thing sounds like a joke.

I wouldn't call it a matter of China using Russian data-links as much as it means both Russia and China use common standards for comm. equipment enabling easier interoperability.

No, thats not what the article says. It says "For military airfields of the People's Republic "UIC" deliver ground-NKVD-27, intended for communication with frontline aircraft and aircraft of other types." (google translate). And talks about technical aspects of the equipment.

It doesnt say that there will be common standards betwen the two air forces or anything like that. Nor i think that that is something that any party would desire, neither russia or china. Most probably it comes with the sale and china will just get a look at it. Just like the Su-35 itself.
