J-15 is equipped with AESA too.J-15 already has grey radome too.
Maybe that J-11 is the testbed for the much bespoken AESA refit for existing J-11Bs.

The shape of the radome is the same as any other Flanker. Nothing new there either.

The thing noted here isn't the randome, but the fact that it's grey.
I'm sorry... I know someone mentioned that to differentiate an AESA radar equipped Flanker or J-11 to a non-AESA equipped one was by the colour of the randome. Was it anything special of the AESA radar that required grey coloured randome (must have grey coloured randome) and any other colour simply cannot, or was it just a colour code for people to differentiate AESA radar equipped aircraft to non-AESA radar equipped aircraft?
