the Future is something most people can not predict but

Mikhail Pogosyan:“I think Sukhoi and MiG both hold very stable positions in the military sphere. Air forces of the forty four nations operate Sukhoi and MiG aircraft. One-fourth of the total export deliveries of tactical fighters is taken by our aircraft. Sukhoi and MiG aircraft account for bigger half of all Russian military exports.

Russia’s Arms Exports Top $6.5 Bln in H1 2012
Russia exported over $6.5 billion worth of military equipment in the first half of 2012, President Vladimir Putin said on Monday.

“Exports of Russian weaponry exceeded $6.5 billion, registering a 14% increase year-on-year,” Putin said at a meeting of the Committee on Military-Industrial Cooperation.

Putin said Russian annual arms exports doubled over six years from $6 billion in 2005 to over $13 billion in 2011.

Too early to say if Su-35 will or not be exported to China but its prospects are not blur

Well, Russia cannot sell any Su-35 to China because China is refusing to buy any. This is the case even without the J-16, because China can already produce something better called the J-20.

Too early to say if Su-35 will or not be exported to China but its prospects are not blur

There is nearly zero prospect for the Su-35 to found itself in China to begin with. What tiny prospect there might be is only going to dwindle into nothing with each passing year, as China's fighter aircraft gets more and more ahead of Russia's.

A trade requires two parties to work, so no matter how Russians fantasize, they cannot export the Su-35 to China when China refuses to buy. It is that simple.

China probably still wants to import some new engines from Russia, but a whole plane like Su-35 is unlikely.

Most Flanker pilots would likely prefer their birds with OVT, most maintainers/purchasers would likely disagree. Saying that while they will give you a tactical edge over non OVT eqipped Flankers, they will cost more to purchase and maintain. Fighter dogma is changing, the up close and personal furball is giving way to the BVR, launch and leave philosophy, so it is rather unlikely at this stage that China has any real interest in those Su-35s, given the rollout and first flight of the J-20, and the rollout of the F-60/J-31. Now if they could have been delivered 5 years ago, things would likely be a little different.

Actually China still need some engines from the Russian, those are for replacement of engines for older Su-27 and J-11 airframes. As for the 117S engine, I am not sure if China is interested or not... until we see a confirm sale of the aircraft that will surely be announced OFFICIALLY and not hear say from some blogger, engine makers, reporters or whatever people that seemed important.

As for TVC being a must for 5th generation fighter or even 4th generation fighter, there are many argument about that, and since no one can agree with each other, we can not see how this thing is going to go forward.

Finally... Su-35 is a good aircraft, the Russian still have it in them, they have good engines too. The chinese are no slouch either and all we are looking at are spec sheet or on paper, if you will. Unless there are some real combat figures and data, no one can be sure of how the Su-35 fare against the J-11B... so lets just keep it that way shall we?

I am quite confident WS-10A is doing very well for PRC aviation and mass produced plus meeting the demand of domestic need. As for the J-10B saga, it has to do more with rivalry than the capabilities of the engine.

shenyang aviAtion is so confident with this mature engine that they install it on a new and untested prototype.

The TVC engines on 2012 are much more reliable than the ones that flew in american F-15 VECTOR and F-16 MATV simply because Russia has build more than 200 engines on the Su-30MKI project in fact see these news

Irkut is to accelerate its delivery schedule under a Russian air force order for 30 Sukhoi Su-30SM strike aircraft, with its first examples now to be handed over before the end of this year.

Moscow signed a production deal for the two-seat Su-30SM in March, when Irkut announced that the type would be handed over between 2013 and 2015.

plus thrust vectoring has STOL and flight control applications beyond post stall

in fact the Su-30MKI is so mature that Russia it self took the version

Irkut has received a production order to supply the Russian air force with 30 Sukhoi Su-30SM multirole fighters, with the contract having been signed by Russian defence minister Anatoly Serdyukov.

A twin-seat derivative of the Su-30MKI already flown by the Indian air force, the SM includes new features such as identification friend-or-foe equipment

And the funniest thing is F-22 the american superfighter has TVC nozzles, so to say China does not want TVC nozzles is just for a good laugh
