Too bad it seems not many even here are paying much attention to J16 compared to the fancy J20, J21.
This thing can arguably give PLAAF the most potent strike platform in the world outside of the strategic bombers.

J-16 draw less interest because it still use the flanker airframe, unless they can reduce the RCS of the basic flanker airframe design to good LO, J-16 will still have the problem of avoiding radar detection. Though I would expect J-16 to have better performance than SU-30MKK/MK2 since it is expected to be equiped with latest avionics and strike management suite.

In strike role, using stealth or any means (eg, stand-off range) to avoid detection before launch of missiles/bombs is of paramount importance to completion of strike mission and survival of the aircraft.

Yes, even the gorgeous T-50 is still a Flanker, but then I do love the Flanker, and it is a very pilot oriented airframe, not only is it gorgeous, it is in the proper proportions to follow the old engineer's adage, if it looks good, it will fly good. So in my book thats a good thang!
