Hello to all!
I'm new here and did find yet any comments on dramatic expansion of the solid motor production facilities near Xian.
Looks like ballistic missile production may double very soon
Is that right?

Guy who posted this video on mp.net claims this is from recent exercise and they are still training with DF-3A.
interesting one.
2nd arty training
Really impressive defenses.
DF-4 is still better than anything India has (operational) and it is proven IRBM. Enough to deter India. Why would you "waste" your DF-31/A to deter India ?
Nice.
Are those books talking about the rumored df-41 and the new MRBM??
There are clues.
The funny thing is that non-classified Chinese publications always refers to new missiles as 'certain new strategic missile', 'certain long-range missile', etc. The true designation is only unveiled when it becomes obsolete or retired (or if it’s a short-range missile available for export). Funny to read DF-3/4/5 been named as they are while DF-31 is simply ‘solid land-based intercontinental missile’. So there’s a good chance that the new ICBM’s designation is not DF-41 at all.
There are speculations though, that the new missile is not an SS-24/MX class heavy ICBM, but more likely a 50~60 tons one cause there are clues indicating the new missile is still road-mobile, which restricts its weight.
As to the MRBM, all we’ve heard is a Guam-ranged missile (so an IRBM actually) test launched in late 2011.
How come that thing has tail fins? That would suggest it's not a canister launched missile, at least I don't know any canister launched missile with tail fins.
