Not even that. The US will use the Japanese bases so China would have to respond by attacking these bases. , then Japan will have the "self-defence" excuse and go to war.

Japan has already decided on China's containment. The question is how far they intend to go to achieve this.

IMO, Japan will want fall on its sword for the US if the recent spineless impressive show by the Japanese to the US is anything to go by.

On the other hand there are significant economical interests resisting this stance, so I suppose we will have to wait to see which side will win. The security (deep state) or the financial establishment?

China most likely do not want to get involved with japan or US if it can.
It will run against time if the operation proceeded. If it encounter taiwan resistance, it needs quickly stamp it out and using everything at its disposal.

That's the plan between US and Japan. Once Japan sent forces, and get involved militarily with China , US can enter officially due to US and Japan alliance.

Japan will breach whatever UN restriction if unification war does breakout. Do first and talk about it later.

China has thought about this problem and has several weapons specifically designed to destroy hardened targets.
First is DF-15C:

At this time the ROC defence department building had an underground bunker protected by 20m of reinforced concrete. After they got word of DF-15C and what it could do the building was rebuilt with a bunker with 30m of reinforced concrete above it.

So then China developed DF-16, including a bunker bustering warhead for it. Rather than designing it as a convention warhead and tipping it with a penetrator rod the whole warhead was redesigned as a once piece penetrator. We don't know how much penetration capability it has but one would imagine a lot. Remember also DF-16 has a bi-conical manoeuvrable re-entry vehicle which makes it easier to be used against targets on the east side of Taiwan.

Nuking Taiwan? About as smart and sensible as nuking HK because there are some effective efforts from abroad to destabilise China.

Why??? Have you been to Taiwan? It's forests are pristine. Its industries are valuable, many are world leading and unique. The people are productive and useful. If anything, it's the greatest hope of the anglo empire that a Taiwan war leads to the mainland nuking the island. It's more likely for China to nuke Japan and the US before it nukes its own land and people.

Nuking Taiwan is the most infantile statement you can make. If you talk the same way outside this forum, I can see why nobody takes you seriously. When you reach puberty in a dozen years, come back.

If war does occur in the Taiwan Strait, China shouldn't attack the Japanese islands but it should set up a parameter to blockade and shoot at any unauthorized ship or aircraft.

This will allow wiggle room for the US to deescalate and claiming that the Japanese action was not covered by the mutual defense treaty. An outright attack on Yokahoma or Okinawa by China on the other hand will mandate a US military response.

Via Jsch a private company in China plan to launch 60 civilian satellite allowing it revisit rate of just 30 minute meaning they can track mobile or static object every 30 minute. And with 168 satellite every 10 minutes. this is the same company that launch Jilin1 sat that track the plane take off

Changguang Satellite Technology Co., Ltd. plans to achieve 60 satellites in orbit this year, with the ability to revisit any location in the world within 30 minutes. Within the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, 138 satellites will be networked, with the ability to revisit any place in the world within 10 minutes.

In accordance with the launch requirements of the national satellite project, Changguang Satellite Company will develop, produce and deliver related types of satellites on time to accelerate the networking of the "Jilin No. 1" satellite constellation. Since its establishment, Changguang Satellite Company has successfully sent 25 "Jilin No. 1" satellites into space in more than ten launches.

Japan entering the war with China on behalf of Taiwan ?? In the last 150 years, several times when China tried to advance, Japan would come knocking on China's doors with its swords and guns. But this time around, the fight will be on Japanese soils.
