Chengdu next gen combat aircraft (?J-36) thread

I do wonder if that was deliberate, in terms of the plane's programming and the configuration of the tailfins. Keeping a more level flight during a turn would help avoid exposing the highly reflective 'flat' of the plane's belly like it would during an aggressive bank.
It is just part of flight testing. They will fly it in many turn rates and also many angles, turn at level flight, turn at descending flight and turn at ascending flights etc. That is the purpose of flight testing a prototype.

Against those who judged J36 as ugly, I think it is beautiful. It looks like off-spring of a unicon fish and trumpet fish. Just a personal taste.

The out of this world look is simply futuristic.

Ths absence of chase plane possibly indicate that the earlier flight was going well. Pitot tube was there as expected, and as well as the extension of the landing gears. Still very early stage of testings. The next 5-6 years will test your patience and expectation.
