Mobile Service Center is composed of a hangar quick installation and equipped with a complete set of technical equipment. The installation dimensions suit helicopters Mi-8/17, Mi-28N, Mi-35M. The mounting MSTs estimated time is about four hours.

Mobile Service Center is intended for maintenance and repair of aerial appliances in your permanent or temporary basis; It includes transportation to the workplace, the complete installation of the equipment, in addition to the tools, materials and devices for revision and control.

Russian helicopters operate successfully in many Latin American countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico and Peru. Rosoboronexport company aims to expand the geography of supplies of Russian aircraft in this region as well as to develop an effective system of after-sales servicing.

The Chilean Navy Type 23 frigates rearmed

These include 3 sets of vertical launch missile (VLS) Mk 41, Baseline VII, with 33 Sea Sparrow Missile (ESSM) and associated equipment:

Royal Navy teams will integrate the systems into the "Duke" Class frigates in service with the Chilean Navy. These frigates also known as "Type 23" are the FF05 "Almirante Cochrane" FF06 "Almirante Condell" and FF07 "Almirante Lynch". These were purchased from the Royal Navy from 2006, where they operated as “Norfolk”, “Marlborough” and “Grafton” respectively. These ships constucted between 1987 and 1994, these modified vessels will supplement the L class frigates acquired in 2005 from the Royal Dutch Navy.

The Korean aircraft manufacture is making one more sales pitch to Argentina for the KAI FA-50. The only sticking point is the resale of the General Electric 404 assembled by Samsung. The British government has been lobbying Washington regarding the engine. Same issue with the EMB 346 just a different Engine.

A Northrop F-5FM Tiger II training aircraft of the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) was destroyed in an accident on July 5. The pilots ejected and survived. The aircraft was conducting a training mission on the airbase Santa Cruz when they met with technical difficulties on final approach for landing. The cause of the incident is not currently known and an investigation has begun.

Argentine and Brazilian Defense Ministers analyzed the joint production of supersonic aircraft.

Defense Minister Julio Martinez, met with his counterpart of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Raul Jungmann, with whom he discussed the possibility that the two countries cooperate in the production of supersonic aircraft, which will be manufactured in the Brazilian company Embraer.

After the meeting, held at the headquarters of the portfolio of Brazilian Defense in the City of Brasilia, Martinez highlighted the progress in the negotiations to work together in the bi-national aircraft manufacturing Saab Gripen NG, by producing components in the Argentina Aircraft factory (FAdeA), as is done with Embraer KC-390.

In this context, the Argentine official expressed "special interest in participating in this project" and said the national fleet "with authorities of the Argentina Air Force the possibility of incorporating these aircraft was evaluated" in the absence of supersonic aircraft .

In this regard, the Minister Martinez said the intention of his administration to "deepen the work in aviation industry."

During the meeting, the delegations of both countries also discussed the participation in peacekeeping missions in Antarctic programs and controlling and monitoring borders.

For his part, Minister Jungmann stressed the importance of strengthening the strategic link and said that "Argentina is one of the main political and economic partners of Brazil".

After the meeting, the officials went to the headquarters of the company Embraer to dialogue with the authorities and tour its facilities.

Martinez traveled to the neighboring country accompanied by Secretary of Science, Technology and Defence Production, Hector Lostri, and the head of the Argentina Air Force, Brigadier greater VGM Victor Amrein.

The New Argentine Defense Ministry is negotiating with a German firm (whose name at the time of publishing this article is not yet known) regarding the possibility of jointly producing the IA-63 Pampa III.

Under this initiative FAdeA produce cells and this company is responsible for the engine and avionics integration, also the firm would take charge of everything related to the promotion and finding customers for the IA-63 Pampa III.

The 3 Type 23 modernized with one Mk-41 which can receive up to 32 ESSM replace the VLS with 32 Sea Wolf VL advantage more big range with this new SAM MR.

State Department Approves Possible Sale of Missiles to South Korea, Chile

The government of Chile has requested a possible sale of 33 ESSMs, six Evolved Seasparrow Telemetry Missiles and three Mk41 Vertical Launching Systems (tactical version, baseline VII). The sale would include 10 Mk25 Quad Pack Canisters, five ESSM Shipping Containers, five Mk-73 Continuous Wave Illumination Transmitters, one Inertial Missile Initializer Power Supply, spare and repair parts, support and test equipment, publications and technical documentation, personnel training, U.S. government and contractor engineering, technical and logistics support services, technical assistance, installation and integration oversight support, logistics, program management, packaging and transportation. The total overall estimated value is $140.1 million.

The sale will provide upgraded air defense capabilities on Chile’s Type 23 frigates. The proposed sale improves Chile’s capability to deter regional threats and strengthen its homeland defense.
