Mexico participates in World Airshow

PARIS (Notimex) .- A record delegation of 30 companies and state governments of Mexico today began their participation here at the 51st International Air Show Le Bourget, north of Paris, the most important worldwide.

According to Mexican diplomatic sources, the Latin American nation is today a global leader in aerospace.

"This also is the place to show the development that this industry has had in recent years in which he became the most competitive nation in the Americas in aerospace manufacturing costs," they added.
At the opening of the stand of Mexico also he attended the governor of Baja California, Francisco Vega de la Madrid, who announced that in the federal entity will be build the first plane built in Mexico hundred percent, a 10-passenger jet.
According to industry data, currently in Mexico have been established around 302 companies in this industry and generate employment for more than 45 thousand people.
According to the consultancy PWC, Mexico is located on the fourth destination of investments in aerospace manufacturing after China, India and the United States.
Foreign direct investment in aerospace accumulated in the last 10 years is one thousand 797.3 million dollars.
The Mexican aerospace industry consists of companies engaged in manufacturing, maintenance, repair, adjustment, engineering, design and support services to airlines, testing laboratories and training centers, among others.
Among companies that have consolidated their presence in Mexico are Bombardier, GE, Airbus, Honeywell, Eurocopter and Safran Group, including its subsidiary Labinal, in addition to other international companies like Embraer.
The Paris Air Show, 'Paris Air Show' in English, is the most important event of the aerospace industry in the world besides being the oldest living sector and the world's largest air.
As part of the fair, which opened today French President Francois Hollande and will be closed on Sunday, the latest developments are presented in both commercial and military aerospace field.
This year more than two thousand companies with their latest participate and estimated that about 150 new types of civil and military aircraft in the event, in which more than 140 thousand professionals and over three thousand journalists involved will be presented.
