Re: In 1840, CHina has the highest GDP in the world but.....
Bladerunner have you ever heard "the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence".
Those illeterate people in China always think that the road in US is paved with gold There is no such thing
The man who saw his son as a passport to the US was not illiterate, and his lifestyle suggested he had reasonable means, and some of the parents in this group had several children. One couple were expecting their fourth.
And I doubt that average Chinese has $300,000 new zealand dollar If I have that much money I will go somewhere else. Hey what kind of future do My Children have in NZ maybe becoming sheep shearer , well maybe tourist guide
When I work in Singapore years ago I met tens of New Zealandar who has to work overseas because there is no opportunity in New Zealand .
You really are showing your lack of Knowledge in NZ
Education: Entry into university without the pressure one has to go through in China. My son befriended quite a few Mainland Chinese students in his engineering classes , and they found the relaxed lifestyle much more enjoyable than China.
Job wise: We might not need too many "electron particle collider thingy " operaters, but if you have the right professional skills that the country wants, then theres very little problem.
Sheep sheering? Farming nots so bad: Id rather be a millionare farmer in NZ (on paper anyway) rather than living in China.
In NZ an unemployed person can get up to $50.000 inflation adjusted annually unemployment/supplementary benefits according to their needs for as long as they remain unemployed, which can be for the rest of their working life as one is allowed to decline an offer of employment. Along with that there is the normal near free education, and medical care. Man life is sweet in NZ.
With $50.000 a year i could stay in bed late, go fishing, sort out all means of entertainment during the day, take a cheap holiday to somewhere in Asia , stay in a 5star hotel and do some shopping. Man life is sweet in NZ.
Can an unemployed person in China do that?
[QUOTE]Plus I don't like their attitude both Aussie and Kiwi . They think they are superior to Asian in general specially the older generation I guess it come from living close to Asia they see the poverty in Asia and generalized their prejudice, forgetting where their bread come from . Australia's prosperity is [
Personal perception If you go around thinking you are picked on then you probably will be.
