Many years ago when I was stationed in Japan we noticed that man models of the Japanese car makers had diffrrent names.
At the time Nissan were still called Datsuns in the US but in Japan they were Nissans. A 240Z was called a Fairlady. A Datsun B-210 was called a Bluebird or Sunny. There were others but I can't remember. Being station in Japan is almost a fog now..
That was 35 years ago.
The Toyota Reiz does not appear to have a US equivalent. For that matter, the Toyota Avalon does not have a Japanese equivalent. Some Toyotas, like the Innova, isn't sold in the US at all, or in Japan.
Some have different forms. The Toyota Avensis, is a Europe only model. But its chassis is the same as the US only Scion TC.
The Toyota Matrix is another US only Toyota. Its based on the Toyota Corolla platform but its body is co developed and shared with GM as the Pontiac Vibe.
The 2009 Matrix is called the Toyota Blade in Japan, also known as the Toyota Auris in a more basic form.
The Blade itself reminds me of the Mazda 3 series.
What is called the Toyota Yaris in the US is actually two separate cars. The true Toyota Yaris is the three and five door hatchback. The four door is a separate car that is called in other countries as the Toyota Vios.
What is basically just called Corolla in the US is known either as the Corolla Altis in Asia and the Corolla Axio in Japan.
The Toyota Alteeza is known as the Lexus IS in the US.
Like the Innova, the so called Toyota Verso has been called an MPV. Basically its a five door Corolla variant. Also called the Corolla Verso. The rear pillar of the car comes across as having a good resemblance to a competitor's car called the Nissan Versa.

The original Scion Xa is based on some animal called the Toyota ist. The ist, with the small letter i, is based on the Toyota Vitz (Yaris/Echo in the US) though there are styling changes.

Yeap, and all the Toyota sedans sold in Europe are tiny........ it is the only market without the Camry.

Crown is a rear wheel drive car while the Avalon is based on a stretched but still front wheel drive Camry platform. They occupy the same luxury role, although I think the Crown has always been Toyota's traditional full size luxury model, a long time before Lexus and still is. Despite its role, the Crown has also been sold as fleet taxis and police cars.
I'm guessing, mind you, I did work in the auto industry for 3 years. But I'd say $1,200 to $2000. Yikes.... depends upon if the parts are new, used or after market.
