And since the provisions for CATOBAR were already introduced in the planning phase I guess there won't be any further changes to the hull imparting volume or so?
They'll be getting EMALs or the British developed EMCAT, as these just require electricity. This also explains the ISD delay to 2019, as steam catapults could be available a lot sooner. The ships have no provision for steam generation (although adding auxilliary boilers wouldn't be too difficult, the French PA2 variant was scheduled to recieve C-13s and the preliminary design alterations have already been done). Provision for increasing the electrical generating capacity of the CVF's has been included in the design (by an extra 50% I believe), and add to that the weight of the installation of EMALS/EMCAT is expected to be about 25% of the comparable steam catapults as no resovoir or heavy steam pipework are needed.
