The force is nil compared to the extent and the intelligence of Skynet, which will probably hack into all of the Empire's computer systems and turn it on itself anyways. Not to mention that the battlestations got took out in a single shot.
Lol depending on how deep into the star wars universe you ascribe to... darth vader can simply use the force to make skynet not exist.
The way I see jedi and sith, is that they are basically all neo, except instead of only being able to change reality in the matrix, they do it in real life.
besides, consider that skynet's only a computer, developed by the us government in the late 20th century/early 21st. R2D2 could probably hack into skynet, like plawolf said.
controlling the force is to be a demigod, if not god. I always think including star wars force-sensitive characters in these versus type scenarios less fun. Being able to control everything is just no fun.
besides, we're comparing arnie and vader, not skynet versus the empire.
Wolverine is a mediocre fighter at best. He mainly relies on his regeneration powers and metal plated head to absorb attacks and get in a stab or two of his own eventually to win.
Vader got more agile and skilled with his lightsaber with each movie, and Anakin in the second trilogy would easily have sliced wolverine to ribbons with his swordplay skill alone. The lack of agility was more a limitation of the choreography and technology at the time the original Star Wars was filmed rather than because Vader really was just so awkward and graceless in the fluff.
To be fair, I think vader has been depicted in various other media as not very agile too. He is limited by his mechanical limbs after all. His strength lies in his connection to the force.
I think that vader should be replaced with someone else, maybe iron man/other generic superhero. But even that's a bit OP, cause iron man can just hover at 100m or more and kill everyone else with missiles etc, because no one else can fly
