Has anyone seen IP Man and what's it like. I might take a look at If You are the One with the Taiwaness actress Hsu Chi, but I think the Chinese women look nicer when they are dressed up in traditional period costume. Like when I was at the Olympic Games, I couldnt help thinking how much nicer the girls in the medal awards dressed in their clothes, than the immitation western cheer leader variety.
Ironically, best known Chinese swords are the kung fu broadsword and the Tai Ji Jian used for kung fu and Tai Chi exercises. You always see these swords in opera, in acrobatic and kung fu performances.
The strange thing about this is that the broadsword as portrayed in performances never appeared in Chinese history until as late as the 1850s when people were revolting against the Qing. The kung fu Jian never appeared in combat either.

I just watched Red Cliff P2, did not enjoy the baatle scene as March as P1. I guess you could say it was too John Wooish, in the special effects, which I think can be overdone.
So are you saying there must be characters leaping at each other with .45s pointed at each others' faces?

I just thought it went on a bit long, and the special effects, just contained a whole lot of things being blown up, nothing new
