Can someone explain the UN sanctions against the DPRK, what they encompass, when they expire etc? When can Russia and China freely trade with the DPRK without being in breach of international law? I would love an article or a PDF that explains all these things in great detail.

The sanctions on North Korea are really extreme.

They are not allowed to export any of their major exports including minerals, wood, food, machinery, textiles. North Korean workers are supposed to be denied work visas so they cannot repatriate any money to North Korea. And they are limited to importing 500,000 barrels of refined petroleum a year. They are not allowed to buy LNG. They are also not allowed to either buy heavy weapons or luxury goods.

All because of them developing nuclear weapons. Which Pakistan and India also did without getting sanctioned like this.

Unlike the Iranian sanctions, the North Korean sanctions do not have an expiration date. Good luck convincing the US, France, and the UK to vote to repeal the sanctions. The way Russia has been torpedoing the sanctions is by simply not allowing any UN inspectors to come into office, so the sanctions cannot be enforced.

China has likewise also been somewhat lax in enforcing it as well in recent years.

What are the chances of within the next 500 years, Mongolia and Outer Manchuria will once again fall under Chinese administration?

Is it alright to post stuff from a facebook page? There is a facebook page by the name "Quan Su Trung Quoc - China Military" that posts some unseen pictures and videos. The posts related to military vehicles are really good.

Uh, rather not directly post links to Facebook for various reasons.

I don’t have a problem with linking to Facebook (any more than to Twitter), but downloading is best practice, since stuff from them can get deleted.

Are the Taiwan Strait Crisis considered wars? They don't seem be counted the same way as say Korea or India in 1962.

Does anyone think some members especially recent ones are using chat or what ever other AIs to make arguments in this forum. Some trolling member(s) seem to literally try to answer every counter argument given to their arguments where it doesn't really answer the question. The result is you see pages upon pages of replies trying to answer everything and everyone questioning and challenging them. I see it and say to myself does this person really spend that much time answering everyone which seems to be just a copy and paste job? AI would help cut the time down. That's why recently I started to post just YouTube videos countering this member's main theme he's making. Guess what? He doesn't reply. Yeah it's a lot harder getting a chat AI to answer anything not coming in text form.
